Thank you for 37 years!

We grew up together!

In January of 1987, the Vanessa Behan opened its doors to the public, providing a safe haven to children in danger of abuse and neglect. That same year, the Rosauers Open golf tournament was established to help provide much needed funding to operate the Vanessa Behan, which is 100% privately funded.

Not just another golf tournament!

The Rosauers Open quickly became the largest, most prestigious tournament in the PGA’s Northwest section. More importantly, it has continued to be a major source of funding for Vanessa Behan enabling them to provide refuge to nearly 6,860 children in 2023, and more than 100,000 little ones since opening their doors.

Thanks to our sponsors!

In 1987, the tournament’s first year generated $11,000.00 for the nursery. As of 2023 the tournament has raised over $3.35 million for Vanessa Behan. With a record breaking donation of $160,000 made in 2023, the Rosauers Open is not possible without a team of committed volunteers and the generous support of our sponsors. We hope to be able to reach our goal of another $160,000.00 this year. As you can imagine, the need for crisis care is larger than ever, and continues to grow.

An update from Vanessa Behan!

You may have noticed a slight change in name. We dropped “crisis nursery” from our name. For many parents contemplating our services they feared they were not experiencing enough of a crisis to be worthy of asking for help. We want to be clear that anyone that is brave enough to ask for help is deserving of just that! We also moved into our brand new home where we will soon be able to triple the number of children served, increase programs offered to parents and partner with other agencies to better serve children and parents. While we know your time at the Rosauers Open is limited, we would welcome a time for you to stop by and see how you are keeping kids safe and strengthening families. Looking forward to a great tournament!
